Job Description :

The GTM Operations Center of Excellence organization reviews license management activities of Micro Focus software customers, by working with them in the domain of Software Asset Management, by conducting various types of reviews like contract End-of-Term certifications, Sales Assist, Customer self-reviews and Intellectual Property reviews.

The Technical Licensing Specialist is primarily responsible for conducting End-of-Term certifications, customer self-reviews and maintaining technical methodologies for the same.

The Technical Licensing Specialist will be responsible for :

  • Delivering services : license entitlement analysis, assisting clients in usage data collection, software deployment analysis, and reconciling software deployments to entitlements.
  • Collaborating across various Micro Focus internal teams to deliver quality customer review service deliverables.
  • Understanding and maintaining relevant software knowledge base for reviewing various Micro Focus software products.

The principal goals are :

  • Supporting global contract renewal and End-of-Term certification targets.
  • Number of review-based services and quality of reports delivered
  • Delivery against a Service Level Agreement with internal teams
  • Provide feedback on software usage methodology maintenance and improvements.

The specific tasks shall be :

  • Determining customer’s licensed rights and data collection to reflect actual usage of Micro Focus software.
  • Producing a reconciliation report / dashboard of customer’s software usage matched with their entitlements.
  • Collaborating with customer to validate report / dashboard.

Regular contacts would be with :

  • Micro Focus customers to gather the required usage data and to obtain their approval on the Reconciliation Report / Dashboard.
  • License Management Specialist who are responsible for the overall customer engagement, to provide them technical support as needed.
  • Internal teams to optimize customer experience and ensure quality deliverables (Customer Success teams, Sales / Pre-sales / Sales Operations, Support Renewals, Deal Desk, Legal, Product teams).

The Technical Licensing Specialist will have to ensure that their tasks adhere to these standards :

  • The review process and all communication should be kept simple and easy for customers.
  • The best currently available techniques must be leveraged to drive an overall standard of understanding of what software a customer is using.
  • The exactitude and exhaustiveness of data collection and analysis must be assured to optimize customer experience.

Required education and experience :

  • Relevant University level degree (Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or similar education).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, knowledge of databases and / or scripting languages.
  • 3-4 years of total experience, including a minimum of 2 years of IT technical experience.
  • Software license risk management and project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive client-facing interactions.
  • Specific experience in Software Asset Management and or IT Forensics is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (i.e., written, verbal, presentation)
  • Languages : Fluent English,. And fluent French and German are a plus.

The role is based in Bulgaria, Costa Rica, or India but occasional on-site travel to customer locations may be required.
