Sr Data Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Interfell. We are currently looking for a SR DATA ENGINEER in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based data solutions. In this role, you will focus on developing robust data pipelines, modeling modern data architectures, and implementing best practices for performance, security, and automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating strategic business needs into actionable data solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This remote position allows you to contribute from anywhere in Latin America, providing a dynamic and collaborative environment to drive meaningful impact on analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Accountabilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Python (including PySpark), and SQL.
• Model data in modern architectures such as Data Lakehouse with Delta Lake, and analytical structures like star and snowflake schemas.
• Implement automated, monitored, and reliable deployments following CI / CD and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with business, data science, and product teams to translate requirements into actionable data solutions.
• Document architectures, workflows, and technical decisions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
• Apply best practices for query optimization, data ingestion, transformation, and security compliance.
