The Opportunity :

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervisor Manufacturing Operations. Responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Service and Manufacturing Supervisor Department, verifying that all tasks are made according to the priorities and procedures established, providing leadership, guidance, comply with corporate and local regulation. In addition, the incumbent is accountable for all aspects of departmental budget and can solve complex problems with innovation and ingenuity. Ensure the manufacturing process is managed in a highly cost-effective manner meeting or exceeding customer expectations and promoting achieving financial goal. This position also assists General Manager in the interaction with the sales reps and the development of specific sales strategies for the Service and Manufacturing. Oversees the daily planning, implementation, and maintenance of the manufacturing activities of a specific area. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. May assist higher level supervisor.

This role will be a full-time position base out of Heredia, CSR.

What we’re looking for

• Education : Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering or Manufacture Management, preferable
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in manufacture planning and quality, preferable.
• 1 year of management or leadership experience
• Experience in quality Management systems, and ISO 9001 : 2015 standard knowledge and Project Management certification, preferable.
• Experience in cGMP manufacturing a plus.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Although the associate primarily works in an office environment, while performing the duties of this job, the associate can be exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate may work near moving mechanical machinery and / or vehicles and the noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
