West Monroe is looking for a Manager to join our Talent & Leadership Development Team (TLD) to serve as the functional lead on the implementation, configuration, and administration of our Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP).
As the learning platforms owner, you will wear many hats on projects, lead the continuous development and improvement of our learning platform applications (e.g., LMS, LXP), and serve our internal clients with all questions related to the platforms. Key Responsibilities
System Management and Maintenance :
- Mange the daily operation of the LMS / LXP, including system updates, backups, troubleshooting technical issues, course scheduling, content testing, general maintenance, etc.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure the LMS / LXP integrates seamlessly with other systems and platforms, creating functional requirements
- Ensure data security and privacy by managing user accounts, permissions, and access levels
- Establish standards for the LMS / LXP and related services, including vendor partners and content development
- Assists with data migrations, in partnership with internal and external partners
- Customize the LMS / LXP to align with the organization's branding and visual identity
Content Management :
Upload, organize, and manage learning content, ensuring accuracy and relevanceCollaborate with subject matter experts to package and deploy content, translating their functional needs into LMS / LXP technical requirements, ensuring content is properly tagged, categorized, and searchableUser Support and Training :
Provide user support by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with technical problemsDevelop and deliver training materials for users, including instructors and learnersAnalytics and Reporting :
Generate and analyze on-demand and regularly scheduled reports on user engagement, course completion rates, and other relevant metricsUse data insights to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of successMake data-driven recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of platform and learning programsProblem Management and Continuous Improvement
Lead problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysisIdentify process gaps, while maintaining system documentation, and implementing best practicesResearch and implement new features and plugins to improve functionality and user engagementCollaborate with technical partners to enhance the LMS / LXP interface and user experienceStrong project management skills of cross-functional teams to oversee the implementation of solutions and improvementsQuality Assurance :
Conduct regular audits of content, courses, and assessments to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with established standardsTroubleshoot and resolve any issues related to content display, navigation, and functionalityQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as human resources, education, instructional design, information technology, or similar preferred7+ years of experience supporting learning platform softwareExperience working with learning products and suites, i.e., Degreed, LearnAmp (or similar), or other talent systems and with e-learning content development, deployment, and managementKnowledge of e-learning standards (SCORM, xAPI, and content authoring tools)Demonstrated ability as a subject matter expert to support, maintain, and administer learning applicationsDemonstrated ability to push toward clarity and results while balancing the need for great cross-team collaborationDemonstrated problem solving and critical thinking abilitiesStrong written and oral communication – must be able to work well and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical resourcesDesire to learn and continuously improveExperience working in an Agile / Scrum sprint-based environment; understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology concepts, techniques, and ceremonies preferredAbility to multi-task and demonstrate a strong desire to take on new tasks and learn new thingsAbility to analyze, understand, and prioritize business problemsWork experience in management / technology consulting or professional services industries preferredWest Monroe is a digital services firm that partners with companies in transformative industries to deliver quantifiable financial value.
