Role : Java Backend Engineer

Location : Business Park, Building N, Lindora, Santa Ana. Costa Rica , Zip Code. 10903

Type : Contract to Hire

Required Qualifications :

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Santa Ana. Costa Rica or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding.

  • Should have exposure to cloud technologies
  • Should have good understanding of unit testing methodologies and should conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks.
  • Should possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working on one of DB technologies, writing queries etc. Oracle, MySQL, PL / SQL or Postgres.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of Observability and Monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy a collaborative team environment
  • Experience with translating business use cases to technical solutions, user interface design and database structures.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English langauge.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

    • Responsibilities :

  • Turn design concepts into fully working Web applications
  • Rapid prototyping of design concepts
  • Quickly identify and fix JavaScript and CSS defects
  • Collaborate on optimal user experience choices based on business requirements
  • Develop high performance, scalable java code
  • Integrate front end code with backend Web services
  • Optimize existing Java code
  • Create re-usable code snippets and standards for use by other developers The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
