Summary
ATL Technology is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer I to join our team in San Rafael, Alajuela. This entry-level role is perfect for recent graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering. The role involves supporting production, mentoring technicians, and contributing to process improvements and documentation under supervision.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's or Licentiate degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Chemical, Physics Engineering, or related field
Experience : 0–2 years in a related manufacturing or engineering role
Language : Intermediate technical English
Certifications (Preferred) : Lean, Green Belt
Standards Knowledge (Preferred) : ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820
Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor manufacturing technicians
Provide daily production support and resolve minor issues
Assist in documenting IQ / OQ / PQ processes
Support audits, CAPA, SCAR, NCMR, and pFMEA activities
Participate in root cause analysis (Ishikawa, 5 Whys)
Perform tasks as assigned by management
Knowledge / Technical Skills
Manufacturing processes : injection molding, assembly, welding, etc.
Engineering drawing interpretation (GD&T, tolerances)
Lean tools : 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke
Documentation : BOMs, SOPs, ECNs
Experience with component design for plastic injection molding, metal forming / stamping, and electromechanical devices
