Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing Associate with a strong background in professional service marketing, preferably within the financial industry. This role focuses on strengthening BFG’s brand presence through digital campaigns, content creation, market research, and collaboration with external marketing partners. The ideal candidate will combine creativity with analytical thinking, have hands-on experience in digital platforms, and be capable of independently managing day-to-day marketing operations. This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate to work on-site two days a week at our San Jose, Costa Rica office.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Content
Manage BFG’s presence across social media platforms : Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, and LinkedIn.
Create, schedule, and publish engaging, brand-aligned content.
Monitor performance metrics across platforms and generate weekly analytics reports.
Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to improve campaign targeting and SEO.
Campaigns & Collaboration
Assist in planning, launching, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns (email, paid ads, and organic outreach).
Support the development of marketing materials, including brochures, one-pagers, presentations, and case studies.
Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to align campaigns with company goals.
Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing touchpoints.
Market Research & Strategy
Research market trends and identify opportunities within accounting, tax, and business incorporation services.
Track competitor activities and suggest strategies for differentiation and growth.
Support promotional events, webinars, and lead generation initiatives.
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain an organized and accurate CRM / prospects database.
Provide ongoing marketing support to the sales team to align efforts and drive qualified leads.
Handle day-to-day marketing tasks and vendor coordination efficiently.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant marketing experience , ideally within the professional services or financial sector.
We prefer candidates with a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Candidates possessing an MBA in Marketing and knowledge of Digital Marketing will be given priority in addition to the primary educational qualification.
Proven experience in promoting service-based offerings (accounting, legal, consulting, etc.).
Proficiency in social media management tools and the following digital marketing applications : Mailchimp, Canva, EZlocal, GMB Everywhere, Google Analytics, Inframail, Instantly, Nicejob, Seamless AI, Zoho CRM.
Advanced English
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.

Content Marketing Ability to create blog posts, newsletters, FAQs, whitepapers, and tax guides. Write in a clear, professional tone while simplifying complex financial concepts. Email Marketing & Automation Craft segmented campaigns for clients and prospects (e.g., tax deadline reminders, tips for small businesses). Knowledge of platforms like Mailchimp, Canva, EZlocal, GMB Everywhere, Google Analytics, Inframail, Instantly, Nicejoe, Seamless AI, and Zoho CRM. Social Media Marketing Build authority and trust on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. Create professional posts about tax updates, accounting tips, case studies, and client success stories. Paid Advertising (PPC) Run targeted Google Ads for local business owners searching for accountants or tax help. LinkedIn Ads for CFO / Controller-level leads. Analytics & Reporting Use Google Analytics, GA4, and CRM dashboards to measure ROI. Track conversions : form fills, booked consultations, calls.
