Role Overview We are seeking a Product Designer with deep expertise in product thinking, system design, and interaction design to help lead the evolution of educational experiences across a suite of web-based platforms.

This full-time, hybrid role is deeply embedded within a cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to create intuitive and inclusive design solutions that are visually polished and rooted in real user needs.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong design craftsmanship with analytical thinking.

The ideal candidate will be an empathetic, active listener who thrives on transforming complex problems into elegant solutions.

You will help drive clarity across teams, synthesize data and insights, and define what good looks like for the future of digital education.

Responsibilities Work with a team of product / ux designers to  design features and experiences across multiple products, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive product discovery, define success criteria, and deliver high-impact design solutions.
• Create design artifacts at varying levels of fidelity : user flows, low-fi wireframes, journey maps, interactive prototypes, and polished UI mockups.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights through sense-making documentation and user journey modeling.
• Contribute to and evolve shared design systems and pattern libraries to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability.
• Develop and deliver production-ready assets and design specifications with organized documentation for engineering handoff.
• Use tools such as Figma, Whimsical, SVGator, Lottie, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) to bring ideas to life with visual precision and optional animation.
• Support inclusive, responsive design that works across devices, platforms, and user contexts.
• Champion accessibility, color, typography, and micro-copy to ensure designs are inclusive and polished.
• Apply analytics tools and user feedback methodologies to inform and validate design decisions.
• Minimum Requirements 3-6 years of professional experience in product design, preferably within web or SaaS platforms.
• Strong system design experience with the ability to build and follow scalable design systems.
• Deep fluency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, and design tools like Whimsical, SVGator, After Effects, or Lottie.
• Expertise in UX fundamentals : persona creation, JTBD analysis, user interviews, journey mapping, and user testing methodologies.
• Proven ability to balance broad, exploratory ideation with focused execution and iteration.
• Excellent visual design skills across layout, color theory, typography, and UI refinement.
• Demonstrated professionalism in behavior, communication, and team collaboration.
• Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills to support clear design delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Preferred Requirements Experience working in education technology or on mission-driven digital products.
• Strong understanding of data synthesis and ability to extract clear takeaways from research and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to self-direct in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Prior experience defining MVP functionality and contributing to product prioritization.
• Passion for the craft of design and a collaborative, kind, and proactive mindset.

Interview 1 Duration : 60 minutes Format : Live virtual interview focused on your experience, communication skills, and design Interview 2 - Take Home Design Assessment Duration : 60 minutes Format : Take home design challenge to assess hands-on capabilities.

Client Round Interview 1  Duration : 60 minutes Format : Virtual interview with the client stakeholder to discuss experience, skill set, and soft skills  Client Round Interview 2  Duration : 60 minutes Format : Virtual interview with the client teammates to discuss experience, skill set, and soft skills   Total interview time investment : 4.5-5 hours.

Next Steps : We aim to finalize decisions and extend offers within a few days after the final round of interviews, ensuring a swift and transparent process.
