The Director of Engineering will be the architect and champion of our AI-enabled engineering system, responsible for building, implementing, and scaling cutting-edge development processes. This is a leadership role for a builder and innovator, not just a caretaker.
You will lead and mentor up to 8 Tech Leads running projects across multiple clients, ensuring their teams thrive in a culture of AI empowerment. You will report directly to the CEO, with strong support from the CTO.

AI Innovation & Leadership :
- Translate our vision of AI-empowered digital creation into daily reality for engineering teams.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, DeepSource, ContextQA, etc.) to enhance code quality, testing, security, and delivery.
- Continuously explore and experiment with emerging AI tools to keep the company ahead of the curve.
Team Leadership & Mentorship :
Supervise and coach Tech Leads (up to 8), ensuring consistent excellence across all projects.Mentor engineers to embrace AI as a partner in their craft.Foster a culture that blends mastery, autonomy, and purpose with cutting-edge innovation.Engineering Systems & CICD :
Own the design, implementation, and operation of CI / CD pipelines that integrate testing, security, and AI-assisted quality gates.Push QA responsibilities upstream (“shift-left”), ensuring AI helps our QA team catch defects before they reach clients.Embed productivity and quality metrics (DORA, cycle time, rework rates) into dashboards for visibility and accountability.DevSecOps & Security :
Embed DevSecOps practices into workflows : code scanning, dependency analysis, container / IaC validation, and secure deployments.Partner with infrastructure teams on secure, cloud-native delivery in AWS, or Azure environments.Collaboration & Delivery :
Work closely with Delivery leaders to balance client expectations, budgets, and timelines.Ensure traceability from feature definition through production, with minimal overhead for engineers.Use AI agents to reduce administrative burden on creators (e.g., time tracking, defect tagging, reporting).Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 in engineering leadership.Proven ability to lead Tech Leads or Engineering Managers across multiple client projects.Deep experience with CI / CD pipelines and Agile / Distributed Agile practices.Hands-on expertise with GitHub, TypeScript / JavaScript, Python, and / or C# / .NET.Track record of deploying AI-enabled tools and processes to improve engineering outcomes.Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices in modern cloud environments.Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.Valid travel permissions for USA and LATAM.Nice To Have :
Experience launching AI or engineering excellence programs.Familiarity with agentic AI workflows for productivity and automation.Background in service-provider or consulting environments.
